How it works
Your child breathes a gentle mix of Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen and oxygen through a small, sweet-smelling nose mask. Within minutes, they feel relaxed, a little tingly, and often a bit giggly — but completely awake and able to respond.
Is it safe?
Yes. Nitrous Oxide-Oxygen has been used safely in dentistry for over 150 years. The effects wear off within minutes after the mask is removed, so your child can return to normal activities the same day. We continuously monitor oxygen levels and tailor the dose to each child.
